Kate Gibson

A mainstay of the South-East Queensland music scene for over 20 years, Kate Gibson is a dynamic and multi-faceted singer-songwriter. Working across the genres of soul, jazz and pop, Kate has co-produced two albums of original songs which are as diverse as they are easy on the ears. She is a self-styled ‘Rockermum’ who balances her professional career as a musician with her role as a devoted and loving mother. Kate has been recognised by the music industry for her tireless work, being awarded Best Female Vocal twice from the QLD Recording Association Sunnie Awards for her songs ‘The Lantern’ and ‘My Girlfriends Letter’. Her ‘Kosmic Kate & The KGB’ was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Adult Contemporary Album, with track ‘Galaxy’ nominated for Best Pop/Dance Song.
